Rainy Day Reflections

As the wind blows with immense force, and the rain drops descend from the skies above, the content mind wanders into the past and the heart dictates this song...

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned to accept that not every pursuit has success waiting at its end

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned that at times embracing failure can begin its transformation into success

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned that distance breeds pain, but pain makes you stronger

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned that if I smile all the time, I will start believing in happiness

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned that success tastes sweet only when it is well-deserved

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned to decide for myself what matters and, not much does

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned to embrace challenges, because they are the bread and jam of life

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned that it is not black, white or brown but it is gray that describes every being’s color

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned that all it takes is an engaging mind and a warm heart to turn isolation into solitude

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned that all my strength comes from my parents, who love me more than I can ever love myself

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned that my sanity comes from the belief that there is some power who knows

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned that the heart imagines the dream, however wild, and the mind strives to turn it into reality

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned that the path ahead is twisted and ground beneath my feet is shaky,
But so long as I have a smile on my lips, laughter in my throat, strength and dreams in my heart and sanity in my head,
I can take another step into the wilderness of life...
