Turning it inside out

At times, as I look at the mirror, I wonder if the world inside the mirror is the fun-ner twin of our world. And then there are blah days, when my wonder turns into a full blown day-long fantasy, which culminates in these words:

There are absolutely random days, when nothing much happens in the world around, but if the head were turned inside out, the world would have finished five cartwheels on Mars by now.

The trees would shake to shower the inattentive passerby with leaves and twigs, just for giggles and the cars, not to be left behind would learn how to wink and whistle.

The sky would change its color every moment, because the Sun would be amusedly engaged in a game of hide and seek with the merry wind, ruffling the helpless, yet delighted clouds.

The birds would learn to dance to the tune of the wolf’s howl, so at night the moon would come out with popcorn and some coke, to enjoy the wilderness dance carnival.

The hair would learn to fly at will, so humans would have hair covering their faces or just deciding to stand up tall on their head to get a better view of what the front of the head has to offer.

There would be one thing that would stay unchanged, shoe laces will remain as impish as ever untying themselves at the most strategic of moments, leading their owners to kiss the ground in eternal disgrace or maybe gratefulness?

If the head turned inside out, the insanity levels would hit through the roof wouldn’t you take a random insane day in exchange for a blah one, any day?

Rainy Day Reflections

As the wind blows with immense force, and the rain drops descend from the skies above, the content mind wanders into the past and the heart dictates this song...

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned to accept that not every pursuit has success waiting at its end

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned that at times embracing failure can begin its transformation into success

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned that distance breeds pain, but pain makes you stronger

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned that if I smile all the time, I will start believing in happiness

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned that success tastes sweet only when it is well-deserved

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned to decide for myself what matters and, not much does

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned to embrace challenges, because they are the bread and jam of life

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned that it is not black, white or brown but it is gray that describes every being’s color

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned that all it takes is an engaging mind and a warm heart to turn isolation into solitude

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned that all my strength comes from my parents, who love me more than I can ever love myself

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned that my sanity comes from the belief that there is some power who knows

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned that the heart imagines the dream, however wild, and the mind strives to turn it into reality

As I took another step into the wilderness of life,
I learned that the path ahead is twisted and ground beneath my feet is shaky,
But so long as I have a smile on my lips, laughter in my throat, strength and dreams in my heart and sanity in my head,
I can take another step into the wilderness of life...
