In the heart of the thunderstorm

When the sky is crowded by clouds, dark and heavy with the promise of rain
There is nowhere that I’d rather be than in the heart of the thunderstorm

When the wind decides to play with all around, trying to lift all above the ground
There is nowhere that I’d rather be than in the heart of the thunderstorm

When the Sun leaves its majestic seat in the sky, for the lightning so blinding
There is nowhere that I’d rather be than in the heart of the thunderstorm

When the wind dances through every crevice on the song of the thunder
There is nowhere that I’d rather be than in the heart of the thunderstorm

When the rain falls down as it races with thunder and lightning
There is nowhere that I’d rather be than in the heart of the thunderstorm

When the leaves get greener and soil gets earthier and the road gets foggier
There is nowhere that I’d rather be than in the heart of the thunderstorm

When the water splashes as another foot and another wheel rapidly filling the puddles
There is nowhere that I’d rather be than in the heart of the thunderstorm

When ambrosia is hot tea and fried food and paradise is the clouded view from the window sill
There is nowhere that I’d rather be than in the heart of the thunderstorm

When the sound of the water pouring down from the skies becomes the favorite lullaby
There is nowhere that I’d rather be than in the heart of the thunderstorm

There is nowhere that I’d rather be than in the heart of the thunderstorm
Because nothing else in the whole wide world can bring as much love, passion, laughter, strength and gratitude as the heart of a thunderstorm...
